What's a Cannagar?

Let me guess. You stumbled upon someone posting a Cannagar on Instagram. Or maybe, you’ve gone down the rabbit hole to search for the venerable "Cannagar.” The effect of its leafy green textured appearance, the way smoke dances off the tip, and the longevity of the cloud nine high has you amazed.

So now you're wondering "What actually is a Cannagar?"

A Cannagar is not an ordinary joint or blunt. It's evolved from the "Thai Stick,” which used one or more cannabis stems as the core wrapped in fibers from cannabis stock to maintain its shape and in some cases was coated in opium.

Initially, seeing the price of a Cannagar may shock uninformed users, but once we explain what goes into a Cannagar, it should alleviate the shock.

Today's Cannagar is a cigar filled and wrapped entirely with cannabis. It's packed tightly in a mold with a single skewer core, allowing it to last longer than your ordinary blunt. For example, a blunt may last anywhere between 10 and 20 minutes, while a Cannagar can keep the party going for hours.

The best Cannagars have a wooden tip added to smooth the hit even more. Typically, Cannagars have an eighth to an ounce of cannabis inside and the leaves are coated in one to two grams of cannabis oil to help them adhere to one another. Some users even use hemp shells if they don't have access to fan leaves to wrap their own Cannagars. With several grams of flower, oil and hash a Cannagar can reach up to multiple hundreds of dollars. Hopefully this post has helped ease the unsettling gut feeling when you see the price of a Cannagar.
